Roll up your sleeves! At One Acre Fund, we don't believe anyone should drop a check into a black hole; we seek friends who wish to make the permanent eradication of hunger a part of their lives. Our founding Investment Council, a $20 per month commitment, is an opportunity to do just that. $20 per month is enough to start one family of six on our program, enabling them to create permanent change in their lives. We provide each of our council members with monthly profiles of different farm families that we work with, and a six-monthly report on our measurable results. This is an opportunity to include the lives of the poor in your own family, and to touch the rich tapestry that is Africa.
Giving is a personal commitment. It says something about a person who chooses to use their money to buy a little bag of seed and a little bag of fertilizer, hire an educator, and reach out to a farm family that has extraordinary human need. Giving to One Acre Fund is a way to make a personal commitment to end hunger, and to bring a group of needy families into your circle of friends.
